Circumstances over the death of Senator Akpor Pius Ewerhido

Death Of Delta APC Would-Be Governorship Candidate, Senator Ewerhido Attributed To “Spiritual Attacks” Over 2015 Elections

Akpor Pius Ewerhido

The death of Senator Pius Ewherido of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) representing Delta Central Senatorial district in the National Assembly today has sent tongues wagging in Delta State forcing the state government to urge calm.
Since the announcement of Ewerhido’s death today, the Delta Central Senatorial district and Delta state in general have been thrown into mourning.
Several of the late senator's constituents and family members wept uncontrollably when the sad news was broken to them around 5:50 PM Nigerian time.
Some political associates of Senator Ewherido told Saharareporters that the death of the senator was due to “spiritual attacks” that took place few days ago which boils down to 2015 elections.

According to our sources, Senator Ewherido slumped three days ago while answering a phone call and had blood gushing out  of his mouth and nose before he  was rushed to the National Hospital in Abuja . Since his hospitalization, the Delta State government had reportedly begun preparations to fly him to Germany for treatment before he gave up the ghost this evening.
Another source close to the senator told Saharareporters that Ewherido has already been designated as the Delta state governorship candidate of the yet to be registered All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming 2015 elections and all plans to that effect were already sealed awaiting the registration and full fledge take off of the party.

However, a medical source at the National Hospital told Saharareporters that the senator died of heart attack after he had a stroke some 48 hours ago.
Senator Ewerhido was recently expelled from the Democratic People's Party (DPP), accused of attending the meetings of the APC without authorization.
Insisting that the senator was “killed’ by his enemies, our source who was speaking in a solemn tune further disclosed the spiritual attacks have several angles to it, saying that they suspect an unnamed politician serving in governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s government who had a running battle with Ewherido during the PDP primaries for the senatorial district before the senator cross carpeted to the DPP and defeated him in the 2011 elections. He allegedly boasted severally that he is still a senator in waiting.
Our source also disclosed that a onetime governorship aspirant and oil magnate from Sapele who is based in Port Harcourt, was also "spiritually attacked" by the same politician but the he survived through divine intervention.

“My brother the death of Senator Pius Ewherido is not ordinary. Delta state has lost a gem, our only hope for 2015 election. The most painful aspect of it all is that he has already gotten the ticket to fly the APC governorship flag in the state and now look at what has befallen us. Delta state politics has turned into something else. Those behind the death of Chief (Barr) Pius Akpor Ewherido, our distinguished Senator, alias "Gogorogo" shall never go unpunished”, he said before hanging up the phone.
Several political associates of the senator who did not want to be quoted lamented the sudden demise of Ewherido describing him as their best hope for a shot at the governorship of Delta state in 2015. They said he was a fine gentleman and astute politician who has brought succor to his people.
In the past two months social media platforms as well as political groups have been buzzing with the of plans by Ewherido to contest the governorship seat come 2015.
Meanwhile, the Government of Delta State has commiserated with the family of senator Ewherido.
In a statement released and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay and made available to media, expressed its deep condolences to the family at this trying moment and advised Deltans, particularly members of his constituency to remain calm.
“We pray that God grants his family, constituents and all of us, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.” The statement said.

As at the time of writing this report the social media have been flooded with a series of condolence messages and the life and time of Ewherido.
It would be recalled that the Delta state chapter of the Democratic People’s Party (DPP) on May Ist, 2013 suspended Senator Pius Ewherido, the acting national deputy chairman, Olisemeka Akamukale, the vice chairman of Delta central senatorial district, Henry Olori as well as a leader in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Cyril Ogodor from the party.
Briefing the press in his office, Asaba, Chairman of the DPP in the State, Chief Tony Ezeagwu had explained that the decision to suspend the members was reached at the state executive council as a result of what he called gross misconduct and anti-party activities.
“We inaugurated a 12-man committee to midwife our joining the APC, and we officially applied, but the application was not approved. But Ewherido and Akamukale went ahead and been attending APC meetings when we have not been admitted into that fold. Akamukale went to INEC to say that he is the acting national chairman of the party in his bid to force us into the merger.”

SHOCKING: Nigerian Billionaire Mike Adenuga Already Preparing For Death, Pays N200 MILLION For Burial Location

SHOCKING: Nigerian Billionaire Mike Adenuga Already Preparing For Death, Pays N200 MILLION For Burial Location

  •  A recent update has revealed that Nigerian Billionaire, Mike Adenuga has spent a whooping N200 Million for a burial site.
The burial site, which is located at Vaults and Garden, an ultra modern cemetery in Ikoyi, Lagos is now final resting place of the rich and affluent.
photo
According to reports, to get an average space in the cemetery would cost about N750, 000 and above. But if you would rather live an even more affluent life after death, N40 Million would get you some of the executive spots.

Report has it that even the super-rich have their own corner. Adenuga's recently deceased sister had one of these to herself. The Globacom boss paid N200 Million to secure a space for his sister. Her next door neighbor in this exclusive section is Gboyega, son of another super rich man, Otunba Adekunle Ojora and his fashionable wife, Ojuolape. Gbegi, like he was popularly known, was born in 1960 and died in 2011.
Right next to him is one of the founders of GT Bank, Tayo Aderinokun. His final resting place is not only very wondrously decorated, but also boasts of his two giant photographs, smiling on those that are still living. We were informed that Before the trio, however, is that of a true man of God, like it is dubbed inside the cemetery – the final resting place of former Redeemed Christian Church of God minister, Pastor Eskor Mfon. Born in 1953, he died in 2007.

It is quite wondrous that these rich are spending so much amount of money to get a posh burial ground, but wouldn't the money be better served on the living, perhaps, donated to a charity?

What do you think?

ABU Sacks Professor For Intimate Harassment

Professor David Kolo of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria has been dismissed from the institution for sexually harassing one of his female students, Weekly Trust exclusively reports.

This followed the endorsement of the recommendation of a disciplinary committee set up to investigate Professor Kolo of ABU’s faculty of education by the governing council of the university.

Kolo was earlier sentenced to two months imprisonment by a court in Jigawa State, after he was found guilty of attempting to force his female student to accept his sex advances. The student, who is a married woman, had through her husband informed security agents.

An impeccable source, close to the ABU’s governing council, said the council had on Wednesday, during its meeting, approved the dismissal of the professor.

“You know the professor was queried by the university authorities but he refused to answer the query. He also refused to honour the invitation of the disciplinary committee that was set up to investigate the issue. The committee was left with no option than to present its report to the governing council after investigation”, the source told Weekly Trust.

“The governing council, which is the body that is vested with powers of employing and dismissing staff, considered the report and approved the dismissal of the professor. We hope this would serve as deterrence to other staff that may want to engage in such acts of indiscipline,” it added.
In his reaction to the whole episode, the chairman of ABU-ASUU, Dr. Muhammad Kabir Aliyu, said ASUU is a responsible organization, and as such it frowns at any act that would demean the association.

“I heard about the setting up of the council committee and the invitation extended to the Professor, but I am not a member. We always advise our members not to engage in acts that would demean their character and that of our organization. Therefore, we are not happy with what the Professor did. I am not in town, so, I did not hear about the dismissal,” Dr. Aliyu said.

Mallam Ahmad Abdullahi Kundila, the Ag Registrar of the university, who doubles as the secretary of ABU’s governing council, according to our source, was assigned by the council to serve the Professor with the dismissal letter.

Malam Kundila was said to be very busy at his office with administrative matters when Weekly Trust visited and his mobile phone was switched off from morning to evening of yesterday.
But some lecturers interviewed by our correspondent at the main campus of the university commended the action of the council, saying that other officials of the university that engage in such acts would have a lesson to learn.

BRAZIL enters Semi Final

Brazil 2-0 Mexico The Brazillian Star man Neymar is the match-winner again in today's match just concluded minutes ago. The Brazillian forward gave Barcelona fans another tantalizing taste of what to expect with a great goal and an assist to decide the match in the Selecao's favour. Brazil has gotten one foot into the Confederations Cup semi-finals by defeating Mexico2-0 at the Castelao today Wednesday. Neymar lit up the occasion with an outstanding left foot volley nine minutes into the game, but what threatened to be a goal glut for the hosts progressed in somewhat anti-climatic fashion, until the Barcelona forward brilliantly set up Jo after taken in two Mexican for the clincher in the dying seconds of the match. Brazil's victory sees them move on to six points from two matches in Group A, and should Japan fail to defeat Italy later tonight Wednesday's later match, their qualification for the last four will be guaranteed, a result which will also see Mexico eliminated. With these victory for Brazil, do you see them going all the way to lift the trophy, considering the calibre of players they parade or who do you think will stop them? OMOTOLA HUSBAND'S SCRAP PLANE CAUSES PANIC IN LAGOS!

The plane and the onlookers.
A scrap plane formerly owned by the late Apostle Gabriel Oduyemi of Bethel Ministries, Ajah, Lagos, caused panic in the city on Thursday as rumour spread that another aircraft had crashed in Lagos.
It was learnt that the plane, which was recently released to Capt Matthew Ekeinde, husband of Nollywood star, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, was being dragged to Badagry area of the state before its tyre burst. The incident forced the new owner to dump the plane in a nearby filling station.
Hundreds of residents trooped out with their smart phones and camera, and queued behind the gate of Dapsey Oil filling station at Igando where the plane was parked.
A senior employee of the filling station said the plane, with registration number N972TF, was being towed from Muritala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja to Badagry when one of the tyres burst.
He said, “The plane was brought here around 2am after one of its tyres burst. It was being towed by a red vehicle, but after it got to Igando, they discovered it would be difficult to get it to its destination with burst tyre, which was why they brought it here.”
The Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Damasus Ozoani, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the police provided escort for the plane.
He said, “About 12.45am, the command got a directive to escort the jet from MMIA Ikeja to Badagry by road.
“The operation was led by one Capt. Matthew Ekeinde, but in the process of the journey, one of the jet’s tyres burst at College Bus Stop and the jet could not move.
“It was parked at Dapsey Filling Station along Igando for repairs. We have provided security for the plane until it is moved to Badagry.”
PUNCH Metro observed that men of The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps were on the ground to “ensure the safety of people” living in the area.
The Igando Divisional Police Officer, Adeoye Olugbemiga, came with his team around 12pm to control on-lookers.
In a short time, some of the residents turned the scene into an amusement park and began to pose and take shots near the plane.
One of our correspondents observed that the plane’s two wings had been chopped off and the cockpit was stuffed with nylons.
The Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Nnamdi Udoh, in a statement, said the aircraft had long been within the agency’s facility till Wednesday night when it was removed.
Udoh said, “The aircraft that was sighted by the residents was actually a junk one belonging to the late Apostle Gabriel Oduyemi of Bethel Ministries.
“The aircraft was actually released to Capt Ekeinde who will be using it for educational purposes in Badagry, Lagos.”
Ekeinde confirmed on the telephone that the scrap plane belonged to him.
He said, “The aircraft will be situated in a multipurpose and entertainment centre which wlll be open very soon.
“When opened, the centre will be the first of its kind in West Africa.”

PREVENTING INFIDELITY IN YOUR MARRIAGE.

Today dear friends I'm writing about Marriage, Yes! Marriage, because it is common to find couples who are genuinely in love with each other yet they get caught up in a web of deceit and infidelity. So my topic will be on Preventing Infidelity In Your Marriage.

As much as we are emotionally tied to our spouses, the truth is that it takes more than that to stay faithful. Couples make the same mistakes over and over again, then they wonder: What happened, How did it all go wrong?

The following are truths which I think couples should take note of and observe to reduce the chances of either of them falling into infidelity.

i. Marriage is not the end
Do not think that because you are married, you will not find other men/women attractive. It does not end with marriage, you will still find attractive people all around you. It is all about how you handle it.

ii. Your spouse is your only friend from the opposite sex
For the man, cut the phone calls with other women unless it STRICTLY has to do with business or work and does not go on for long periods, no text messages either. If she is not your wife, she is not your friend. That means you should not discuss private matters with other women. If you want to talk to a woman, talk to your mother or sister.
Keep discussions with other women, straight to the point. This means no flirting AT ALL. You might think it is harmless but the lady might not feel the same way. You are only in charge of your emotions.
The same applies to women, keep a stern voice if you need to. Keep discussions straight to the point and brief.
Like they say, one thing leads to another. You don't want to start that 'one thing'.

iii. Make yourself pretty for your spouse
It seems when couples get married, they stop looking good for themselves. They look good when they go out but within the house, they are a mess....
Imagine a man comes home every day to see his wife looking disheveled. This same man is bombarded by temptations outside the home and he comes home to see his wife looking 'anyhow'. Dress up for your husband, put some cologne on before he comes from work.
And men, take a shower and smell good in the home.... Try to always look the best for your spouse.

iv. Your best friend is not your spouse's friend
Most of the time, Infidelity occurs with people that are close. Your spouse's best friend or Your spouse's brother or sister. Your best friend is not your spouse's friend, keep the required distance. Do not be too cordial with your husband's friend or brother. Do not complain about your husband to his friend or brother. Talk to your father, if you need to talk to a man or talk to a professional.
Keep the barriers up in your relationships with these people. Be cordial but do not break the barriers.
If you were all friends before you got married. The man seizes to be your 'friend' after marriage. Be cordial and friendly but keep limits.

v. Make your relationship beautiful and keep it beautiful
Surprise your spouse from time to time, take vacations and long walks. Do not keep a grudge, resolve all issues before going to bed.
Once an issue is settled, DO NOT BRING IT UP AGAIN..... Start afresh..... Always start afresh after every conflict.

Vi. Segregate parties
If you have a house party, let the females stay together most of the time and the males together. You take care of bringing the food to the males while your wife takes care of the females.

Vii. Switch the phones (& all forms of technology) off at night
Many times, actual communication is replaced by gadgets. Switch the phone off at night (Say from 10pm), shut down the laptop and just talk (unless, you are a doctor and could get late calls)

I have heard stories of men spending their nights on youtube when they have a home to run. Communicate as much as possible, your home is your priority.

These are just a few things, hopefully someone finds it useful. You can equally add up to it from the comment box, you'll be helping somebody with your information.

Thank you for reading, watch out for more tips on marriage.
