Brazil has gotten one foot into the Confederations Cup semi-finals by defeating Mexico2-0 at the Castelao today Wednesday. Brazil's victory sees them move on to six points from two matches in Group A, and should Japan fail to defeat Italy later tonight Wednesday's later match, their qualification for the last four will be guaranteed, a result which will also see Mexico eliminated.
